Manvers Main

I built this private owner wagon from a Slater’s 1/32 Scale kit, added a few extra details, and fitted wheels machined to ScaleOne32 standards.  A detailed article on the construction, decoration and weathering  of the model was published in British Railway Modelling January 2010, Vol.17 No.10, and some of these photos illustrated Simon Dunkley’s article ‘Manvers on the Mantlepiece’ in Model Railway Journal No.175.

  1. I have seen the pictures of wagons and locos, I have to say unbelievable! Is the “Manvers Main” wagon a 7mm model or more real size?

  2. Erm,
As Adrian states in the opening sentence, it is to 1:32 scale (gauge one).
Not only did the then MRJ editor fail to print a requested correction, but when the photos were submitted, their provenance was made clear.
