J25 65691

Based on an ABC-powered Fourtrack (now Gladiator) kit, I discarded some of the body and scratchbuilt a new chassis entirely, fitting milled coupling rods from the now-defunct KeyKits range. That’s not to say that the kit as supplied is in anyway of poor quality, but the artwork for the etches is now quite old, and I wanted to increase the level of fidelity to bring the  model up to a standard we’ve become used to with more modern offerings.  The 65691 is finished in the typical multiple shades of grime-on-black livery these locos regularly wore during the early 1950s.
